This website is a continuing project I began during September 2007 to
log my ascents of the Scottish mountains. I've been hillwalking for several
years now, but began walking frequently around mid-2007.
I'm now out once every few weeks at the least and try to get to the
hills as much as possible.
As a long term "project", this website is always expanding and there's
long way to go with it should I keep climbing mountains. It's mainly a
personal endeavour but you may find something of interest in it.

The camera is something I've come
to take on every hillwalk.
I started out using a Canon PowerShot S30, though as of December '08,
upgraded to a Canon EOS 400D SLR. The improvement in quality from one
camera to the other is vast. This camera is
bulkier though and I initially found it difficult to find a case that
would allow me to keep the camera out of the rucksack, but LowePro's TLZ
Mini camera case allows me to do this and means I can carry around an
SLR with minimal hassle. Nowadays a camera is one of the items I always
make sure to have, I'd hate to go without.
This site features many images including panoramas. While I focus on
taking good images, some of the photo-taking can be for documentary
purposes and is not all postcard-quality material. I do try to take some
good shots though!
Links
I'm not the first to have an online
climbing diary, and found the inspiration and motivation to start this
through reading the websites of others. This is a small list of my
personal favourites:
Alan's
Munro Diary - Diary of a completer of the
Munros
Petter Bjorstad - An exceptional list of
mountains from all over the world. Great information.
Steven Fallon
- Long distance hill routes, by the 13-time Munros completer Steven
Fallon
