Climbing

Occasionally rock climbing and ice climbing on one occasion, I've started to climb in more vertical environments. I've climbed indoors for many years but as time progresses I'm trying the outdoor environment. This is new territory for me and if I continue to enjoy it and take it further, the list below will fatten out.

2010 June 28 Kit Kat (Diff, Lead)
Kit Kat (Diff, solo five times) Feeling more comfortable with this route now, I lead it, using minimal protection, then Ian came up after on bottom rope. I soloed it five times in a row, just as the rain came on!

2010 June 16 Kit Kat (Diff, Bottom-rope. Three times) Ian hadn't been up Kit Kat yet, so we set up the top-rope and both scooted up it about three times each.

2010 June 14 Kit Kat (Diff, my arse a Diff..., Lead) First time at Craigmore - great rock. Lead Kit Kat which took a lot of mental psyching to do. Crap protection at this crag, so we didn't do any other routes, though we tried.

2010 April 2 Access Route (seconded, I think)
Bouldering Wall - one problem repeated around 4 times Not so much climbing but we did Access route then went to the Bouldering wall where I found a really neat problem - very fulfilling getting to the top so I did it several times more.

2010 March 4 Flake Route w/ P.'s Corner finish (15m? Severe, seconded)
Flake Route w/ P.'s Corner finish (15m? Severe, First lead!) Climbing with Ian among a foot of snowfall! A beautiful day though. Climbed my first lead too.

2010 February 21 Afternoon rock climbing with Ian. Clear but cold day, we climbed until darkness. Missing Mick like hell...

2010 February 12 Beautiful morning rock climbing with Ian. First time climbing on real rock with ropes. An amazing experience! A very warm morning for February, with blue skies and the sun out.
