Tuesday 21st October 2014

Weather/Conditions: Slightly rotten weather, windy, wet, but I think we expected worse. Also had the advantage of backs to the wind.
Distance/Ascent/Time: 12.3km / 670m / 6h 15m
Accompanying: ML Training Group

This was on my ML training - a west to east traverse across the Meall a' Bhuachaille tops from Badaguish to Glenmore Lodge. It was also something I'd been meaning to do in time (Creagan Gorm in particular), so any excuse is always handy.

The weather on the other hand was rotten, although I think having geared ourselves up for something utterly fowl it turned out not so bad in the end. We did much of the usual ML stuff of ecological disscussion, map reading, pacing, etc. We took shelter in the Meall a' Bhuachaille cairn (not the first time I've done that to shelter from some utterly vile conditions!) then took shelter for 20 minutes in Ryvoan.
